Don’t Just Sit There … Do Something Creative!

Try these fun activities while visiting the Art Benches:

Make A Rubbing
Bring colored pencils or crayons and paper. Use them to reveal the textures you find on each bench.

Question: What do the words, pictures, shapes,
or other details on each bench tell you about the St. Croix River?

Write a Poem!
Sit quietly on the bench. What do you hear and see?
Write a short poem or haiku about how this makes you feel. (A haiku has three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.)
